Mani (Emanuel) Gyenes on 1st place at Production after the first day
The first day from Rallye Tunisie it was dedicated to accommodation. Both Mani and Marcel returned to cross country rallies after an absence of almost seven months. And for Alex this is the first event in Africa after 2008 Pharons Rally.
Day 1 : TUNIS - DOUZ: 586 Km
Liaisons : 406 Km – Special Stage : 180 Km.
Fast on plain, more technical on mountains, sinuous between crops.
Plenty of intersections, many changes of direction : allow yourself to be led by the marks is out of the question, neither by the dust at the risk of getting lost and to see some precious minutes blowing off from the first day.
At the end of the day Mani has the best time at Production, is on 7 in general ranking and is trying to improve his best result in a Cross Country Rallies event – 6th place in general classification at Pharaons Rally 2008.
